Please, no soapy water, clean with regular water and wipe dry. Don't wash in dish washer.

The instructions on the card that came with my bowl states: never submerge in water, if moisture falls on the bowl promptly wipe it, do not place in dishwasher or microwave & occasionally rub with food safe mineral oil. Since it’s hand carved I would only put whole fruit in it for a quick serving or not at all.

It is a dark walnut. No reddish color in it.
